This is a little trick I use since a long time to navigate my keyboard and use shortcuts with a little more ease.
I think its very practical little tip and that's why I like to share it with you.

After I was annoyed by hitting the wrong key for a shortcut over and over again or have to look on the keyboard to find the right keys.
I was thinking about how I can avoid that searching for keys or hitting the wrong one.

The solution was quite simple.

I bought some self-adhesive elastic spacer bumpons, bumbons are produced by 3M for instance.

Bumpons are used as feet for appliances, as distance pieces, as impact buffers or vibration dampeners, etc. They prevent machines from slipping and sliding (no scratching or grinding marks)

The bumpons are made out of a permanently elastic, plasticizer-free, slip and abrasion-proof polyurethane elastomer and are supplied with a self-adhesive strip that makes for easy and efficient mounting.

I placed Bumpons on top of some " strategic" key of my keyboard.
Now I can sense the key with my fingertip and know instantly and without watching if its the right one.

Especially when you are working in a dark room, (I know its not healthy having the Monitor as your only lightsource), you can find the keys you need.

One of my "strategic" keys is the "T", ctrl + T is the Photoshop shortcut for "Transform" which I need pretty often. Right next to it is the "Z" key for undo which I now also can find just by looking with my fingertips.

Maybe someone find this a useful tip, if not just forget it. For those who like to try it: here is a link where to buy the bumpons. If you can't find it in a store near you.
